Summerfest

The biggest mass event of  the North  State region takes place during the Summer in Macaé,  on Cavaleiros  beach. Emotional  sporting events and first class shows for one to make the most of one’s summer vaction. The summerfest begins on the first of January , with new year’s firework display and ends at Mardi Gras (Carnival), an ever presence of unmissable weekend events on Cavaleiros beach.

Mardi Gras  (Carnival)

The Macaé Mardi Gras    (Carnival) takes places at two intervals. During the day revellers enjoy the "trio elétrico" ( massive music speakers mounted on trucks) on Avenida Atlântica, Cavaleiros Beach. At night the Mardi Gras and its various samba schools parade, compete and entertain, on Avenida Fábio Franco, the location of the event. Notice too, that little by little,  the street  "Mardi Gras" is beginning to gain  strength  not only within the municipality, but also within its Mountainous Region.
